Application Procedure - Screening

  • Stage 1
    • All received concepts (proposals) will be examined for its eligibility under the Scheme.
    • Examined for innovation and its potential for patentability
  • Stage 2
    • After successful completion of Stage-1, the proposer may be required for a detailed presentation on his concept
    • The concept may be assessed on the research done (along with collected data)by the proposer to resulting in his proposed innovation.
    • The proposer may have to show his ‘strong willingness’ to get involved completely for collaborative technology-development.
  • Stage 3
    • After successful completion of Stage-2, the proposer may have to have detailed discussion with the Professor along with a Detailed Project Report (DPR) having the following
      1. Activity-wise Action Plan for development from ‘concept’ to ‘prototype’ preparation, in first-activity-first basis.
      2. Activity-wise requirement of materials, manpower, etc. and their estimated costs (in `) and sharing pattern (between IISc & proposer).
      3. Time-lines for each of the activity, (along with design reviews by IISc-faculty))
      4. A Commitment Letter must be given along with the DPR.
